Dress: Anthropologie (On SALE, such a good price currently!)

Earrings: Stella & Dot

Sunglasses: Quay

Sandals: Tory Burch (similar here)

I had to write this post ASAP once I saw that this dress is on sale now! Like, really really on SALE. It was originally $138 and now it’s $39.95!!! I got it for almost double that (still on sale but not as good as now!) and don’t even mind as it’s super cute and fun for Spring & Summer. I love the one-shoulder strap detail…I think it makes the dress! The chest/bust area is super flattering, gives you some nice cleavage AND support…two very important things ;).

K says this looks #countrychic or #farmgirlchic which makes me laugh, but I am so into it! I brought it on our trip to Greece and wore it on a sunny, warm day while we were in Chania, Crete. Crete is the largest of the Greek Islands and Chania is the second largest city of Crete.

Chania is a charming very walkable Venetian harbor city with lots of scenic spots, good shopping and history. We spent two days in this very nice and relaxing city and it was the perfect amount of time. Also, the fact that we traveled there in mid-April was perfect as we avoided the crazy tourist season that happens from ~May-August in Chania and Greece in general. I highly recommend visiting Greece anywhere from mid-to-late April to early-to-mid May.

Rainbow Row

Dress: Anthropologie (not available online anymore 😦 but check stores! Also, this one is super cute)

Sunglasses: Windsor (were $10!!! similar here)

Bag: YSL

Wedges: Stuart Weitzman (love these sparkly ones!)

Photos: By the talented Lisa Tat (my new photog when we vacation together!)

“Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high
There’s a land that I’ve heard of once in a lullaby.
Somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream,
Really do come true.”

Hello hello! A little “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” inspiration for this post about Rainbow Row in Charleston. I’d seen lots of photos of Rainbow Row before we ventured to Charleston to attend one of our great friend’s wedding (which took place on a beautiful plantation…but deets on that will have to be another post) but it’s even better in person!

If you’re visiting Charleston Rainbow Row is definitely a must. The homes are all colorful, super charming and very historic since they were built in the 1700’s. Rainbow Row happens to be “…the longest cluster of Georgian row houses in the United States,” 13 houses to be exact (thanks for the knowledge Wikipedia!).

The purple house is my favorite due to the rich lilac color and because it has beautiful plotted flowers under the 2nd floor windows…not all of the houses have this. The purple house also happens to be on sale, any takers?! We looked up the price while in front of it and it’s $2.8 million. I told Kevin we should move to Charleston for it :). You can see the inside here! The pink house is also a crowd pleaser and great spot for photo ops ;).

Also, here’s my fun story of this day: I walked around the ENTIRE historic downtown of Charleston in this outfit and got TONS of compliments on my dress from Anthropologie. It’s not online but if you like it definitely try to find it in store…it’s so flow-y, comfortable and chic! However, I didn’t want to get it altered so I wore my trusted oh so comfy, albeit tall, Stuart Weitzman wedges. Even the most comfy wedges cannot withstand  8+ miles of walking sometime on old school cobblestone, and my feet were not having it by the end of the day. I almost couldn’t walk one more step (legitimately) in my shoes but luckily just when I felt that I could seriously not go on any longer wearing them, I got to take them off and dip my poor hurting feet in the most delicious warm water a la a pedicure that we had booked the day before, #feetsavingpedicure for the win!

I then walked back to my hotel room in the barely there temporary sandals they give you after a pedicure. I was a bit of a sight…nice outfit on top, clutching my dress with all it’s beautiful pleated chiffon on the side in my hand (so it wouldn’t drag) and on bottom bright yellow ridiculous looking teeny tiny flip flops. I got a few looks but I didn’t pay them any attention 🙂 as my feet were so relieved!

I’ll be posting more outfits from our trip to South Carolina very soon. Charleston is a charming, beautiful city, with real Southern charm, great architecture, picturesque churches, pretty water views, warm hospitality and AMAZING food (OMG the food)! I highly recommend visiting. Also, I’m thinking about doing a travel guide from our trip of what to do, where to eat and the best photo spots :)…stay tuned for that!

Tunic + Frayed Denim

Top: Parker

Necklace: J.Crew

Jeans: Nordstrom

Sandals: Tory Burch (similar here, which I’m eyeing)

Hiiiiii all!!! Happy Friday! Wanted to share these insanely comfy skinny jeans with frayed hems that I’m digging right now. They’re made by ‘Articles of Society’ and I also picked up this black pair. For just under $60 they’re a great price and I’m very pleased with both of my pairs so far :).

Paired with a pretty blue tunic and a nude sandal I feel ready for (actual) Spring! Warm weather come to me!!! Wishing you all a wonderful weekend :)!

Hello Chic Readers!! Happy almost New Year! Can you believe that we’re almost in 2017 already?!?! Where does the time go??? Seriously kind of freaks me out how quickly life/times moves…

My lack of posting has been due to work and life business, not an excuse, but I really miss all of you and sharing/posting here! To be completely honest, we’re not fully unpacked yet even though we moved into our house in May of this year, ha! I haven’t used my camera since we’ve moved :(. Definitely something I’m going to correct in 2017 ;).

Hopefully you follow me on Instagram though as that’s the best view into my outfits and life currently :).

Today I’m sharing some unpublished photos that I haven’t gotten around to posting which a friend and I took in a studio this past Spring. It was a session primarily for a work headshot but then we had some fun. Although I prefer light and airy photos, I dig the black backdrop for these…they’re kind of moody/dramatic (except when I’m smiling!).

So back to the New Year…2016 definitely wasn’t the best year for our country, or the world, but it was pretty good to me.

I grew professionally and learned a lot in my current job, K and I celebrated our 1st married anniversary (and drank Dom to celebrate! thanks mom and dad!), we bought our first house which was quite the interesting process, went to Vegas for a Bachelorette Party, one of my very best friend’s got married in Napa and we had a ball (Bachelorette Party in Vegas was for her!), we visited Chicago for the first time and absolutely LOVED it, we ventured to Indiana for my cousin’s wedding and got to reunite with my mom’s side of the family which was nice, we took a Hawaiian vacation to Maui and Kaui which was relaxing and oh so beautiful AND, last but definitely not least, spent lots of time & had so much fun with our friends, families and twin nieces!!! See 2016 was jam packed with grand things!

But I’m still looking forward to 2017 and feel very grateful for every single day.

I’d like to increase my mindfulness. To truly live in the moment at all times is insanely challenging! Try it. Although it can be hard, as auto-pilot usually takes over, I want to get better at being mindful in all things I do and to also increase feeling grateful multiple times throughout each day.

Mindfulness and meditation are two things that I intend to really focus on in 2017. Also, I’m extremely grateful for my health, my husband, my family, my friends, their health and happiness, my career and my freedom.

We are so lucky to be alive, for the chance to work hard, to love someone fully without fear and do whatever it is that makes us happiest in this life. Wishing each and every one of you a beautiful New Year filled with success, health and happiness :)! Go chase your dreams…you only get one life to do so.

Cheers to you, to dream chasing and to a wonderful 2017!!!

xoxo “Here’s to a fabulous 2017!” Sera 🙂

p.s. stay tuned for something fresh on “Dress Chic For Me” in the next few days ;)!

Pumpkin Patching!

Dress: Target (love this one too)

Jeans: J.Brand (similar here)

Hat, Sunglasses: Nordstrom (hat on sale now!)

Bag: Forever 21 (similar here)

Boots: Sam Edelman (also like these)

Hiiii!!! Happy almost Halloween! I LOVE Fall and all things pumpkin so have been busy this October ;). Our house is decorated with a lot of beautiful pumpkins (see pic with those beauties in the back of the car) as we took a family trip to Spina Farms Pumpkin Patch in the beginning of October with my twin nieces, who just turned 2!

We’ve made it a family tradition to go every October which I’m loving as it’s so fun to go with little ones as everything is exciting to them! We rode the train, made baby friends (they’re very popular everywhere they go) ooh-ed and ah-ed at the animals…especially the ponies, played in a baby hay maze and checked out all the pumpkins! It was a grand time :)!

October has been crazy busy with work and life in general, but we’re really excited to be hosting our first Halloween Party in our house this weekend (p.s. we bought a house a few months ago!)!!

So what did I wear to the pumpkin patch? A dark green floral dress with bell sleeves and a lace up neckline, paired with dark denim (70’s inspired). I knew I would be running after my nieces and didn’t want to flash everyone when squatting down/bending over to pick one of them up…real things you have to think of when hanging out with little ones.

A dress over pants is a Fall 2016 fashion trend but honestly it’s not so trendy to me as practical. It makes sense and looks great when done correctly. My boho chic look was completed with a black floppy hat and cognac boots that were perfect for walking around the dusty and hay filled pumpkin patch in.

Ok I’m off to do some party prep! What are your plans for this weekend/Halloween??? Hope you get to dress up and/or do something fun and festive!

Pajama Pants vs. Trousers

FullSizeRender (26)FullSizeRender (27)

Pajama Pants: Nordstrom

Striped Trousers: Zara

Sandals: Tory Burch

Hi all! Hope everyone had a lovely long Labor Day weekend. I wish we had another day off, but work has to get done I suppose ;).

Talking comfy pants tonight. I live in dresses but do like wearing some pants every now and then. The first photo is in our living room and the second is at work. One pair is a pajama pant and one is a trouser pant.

These pajama pants by ‘In Bloom by Jonquil’ are so cute! I got them recently at Nordy’s and am loving them as they’re a pretty print, stretchy, soft and super comfy.

Also, sharing these striped ‘culottes’ trousers I found at Zara, which are super chic! So Parisian no? The best part is that it feels like you’re wearing pajama pants out in public but you’re totally not! The big difference is that wearing them out and about is completely acceptable (unlike pj’s) as they are real pants, even if the extreme comfort makes you second guess if they truly are…;)

Wine Times

Dress, Bag: Forever 21

Lace Kimono: Target

Necklace: Timka Jewelry

Sunglasses: Nordstrom

Sandals: Rainbows

Hey friends hey!!! It’s been way too long. I’ve been crazy busy at work and life has been go go go so haven’t been posting here in a while which makes me sad :(. The good news is I’m back and will be getting back to posting more consistently :)!

How’s your weekend going?! I hope splendidly! We were in Napa for one of my best friend’s weddings a few weeks ago and it was a fabulous weekend! The weather, the wedding, everything was perfect.

The day after the wedding we decided to do some wine tasting (because Napa duh!). We visited two wineries: Domain Carneros and Artesa. Domain is an impressive property and insta-worthy, but the star of the afternoon was definitely Artesa.

Not only is it super modern and beautiful but the wine is really tasty and the views are beautiful as it’s located on a hill, off the beaten path. It’s a super cool winery and I recommend stopping by if you’re planning a Napa trip soon. I liked that it felt like we were going to a museum and not a winery. It’s not your usual winery aesthetically which for me is a plus. I enjoy unique places, what can I say ;).

You always want to be comfy when wine tasting so I chose to wear a summery maxi dress, lace kimono and sandals. Paired with my Bridesmaid grecian goddess inspired hair it made for a very boho chic look. Also, can I have my hair be like all the time?! You know when you get your hair done for a wedding/event/just because and it’s so good? Like you just love everything about it? That’s what I feel for this hairstyle.

In other life happenings it’s K’s birthday tomorrow so I’m taking him to a nice birthday dinner tonight (insert jazz hands emoji here)! Really excited about it as it’s a new restaurant for both of us that we’ve been wanting to try. Have a wonderful rest of your Sunday!
