Helllllloooo friends! Happy Wednesday :). We finally went to the Gilroy Garlic Festival last weekend and it was so fun! I’ve been wanting to go for the past 3 years since we’ve lived in Northern California but we just haven’t made it there until this year, yay finally!
^^^^This was my outfit for the food festival as it was a hot day, so obviously no pants! I also wanted to protect my face from the sun (always necessary) so I wore this cute black and white striped sun hat with this light blue floral dress. Isn’t this dress perfect for summer? The small opening in the front + little twist by the chest is such a cute/flirty detail. I found it at a local boutique and it was $55 (fashion score!).
Ok so the Gilroy Garlic Festival is definitely a must if you live in the Bay Area and like or love garlic…well, really just food in general. There is SO much food, it’s crazy! Everything we ate was delicious: from garlic butter shrimp scampi to garlic crab fries to garlic mushrooms to funnel cake (no garlic there just deliciousness!) and even garlic ice cream!!! I actually really liked the garlic ice cream, but am a huge garlic lover myself :). Luckily we had a group of 5 of us so we shared a lot of the food, to maximize trying more items ;).
We got to see Giada de Laurentiis in person as she was the MC for a garlic cook-off (obvs). She is tiny in person, super petite, and was rocking a t-shirt dress (blue & white striped, casual but cute) and shoulder length kind of messy wavy hair. She looked good!
On another note, Target, per usual, is killing it with on-trend and super cute items. I found these pearl slides for $25. They also come in tan which I didn’t even see in person :(. I LOVE the black ones though and have been wearing them non-stop. Pearl details are so in right now, especially on shoes…I’m loving it. Currently obsessed with this pink/blush pair that I got recently from Nordstrom by Steve Madden as well.
Wait the black target sandals I have are EXACTLY like these Steve Madden ones which are $70 (!). Which one came first?! Probably the Steve’s, but hey that’s what happens when you’re a good designer…Target does it for less $$$! OR did Target have them first? We’ll never know ;).
Another Target steal is this front scalloped lace bralette which has the best crossed detail back for $13. It also comes in aqua. It’s super comfy and fashionable to wear under tops and dresses or alone while at home lounging ;).
Wishing you all a wonderful rest of the week!
“Give me ALL the summer dresses and pearl sandals!” Sera 🙂
