Kimono, Skirt (Worn as a Dress): Target
If you can name what album title I’m referencing in the name of this post then you must have been born in the 80’s/90’s or just love you some 98 Degrees! Oh Nick Lachey you were so dreamy when I was a teen ;)!
Tonight I’m sharing my comfy outfit for the 2nd day of our honeymoon in Cambodia! If you’ve been following Dress Chic For Me then you know it was 100+ degrees with about 90% humidity while we were in Cambodia…yikes! Literally the hottest, grossest, stickiest, climate I’ve experienced to date! You take that cake Cambodia weather.
Trying to stay cool in South East Asia in April (the hottest month of the whole year) was a legit challenge fashion-wise that I gladly accepted. Well, I actually didn’t really have a choice so I made it work haha!
I opted to wear a colorful and bold print maxi dress with a loose pretty floral kimono (pattern mixing/play), one of my fave statement necklaces (that a woman at the top of one of the temples asked if it was real gold…if it was I definitely would not be wearing it while traveling abroad!) and the most comfy kicks that happen to be very fashionable (thanks Nike!). Then I pulled my hair back into a pony, kept my eyes safe from the blazing sun with cute sunnies and packed my crossbody bag with sunscreen and water!
Normally I wouldn’t wear sneaks with a maxi dress but I knew that we would be doing a ton of walking, climbing temples and exploring so wearing comfy sneakers was truly the smartest and hands down is the best thing to wear on your feet if you do travel to Cambodia and are going to be active seeing all that this beautiful country has to offer!
xoxo “This Cali heat has nothing on Cambodia” Sera 🙂
p.s. if you have ever have the chance to meditate at an ancient temple, even if just for a few moments, I highly recommend it ;)!
