We went to Texas y’all! Austin to be exact and my oh my what a fun and wonderful city it is!!! I really had such a fabulous time visiting a new city for my best friend’s Bachelorette Party! When people asked me where we were going to go for the Bach party and I said “Austin!” a good amount of people wondered why or thought “That’s different” but honestly if you have never been to Austin and you like any or all of these: a) delicious food b) live music c) shopping d) extremely nice people e) fun night life and f) bbq , then I highly recommend visiting. We started the weekend off right with a little pool and tanning relaxing, followed by a group Pole Dancing Class at VAMPS in which we worked up an appetite and then had our first BBQ of the weekend followed by a night out at a bar called Handlebar. But let’s go back to this Pole Dancing Studio…if you decide to check out VAMPS and take a class there, which you definitely should because it’s actually a challenging workout, request Jason as an instructor because he is fabulous :)!
We started the next day off with a bang eating DELICIOUS breakfast tacos at Pueblo Viejo. Their tacos are the best breakfast tacos I’ve ever had…which technically isn’t saying a lot because I never ever eat tacos for breakfast, however these tacos were seriously amazing and I could have eaten them for lunch and dinner that same day! We then adventured to go tubing down a river, which was a very unique experience that I’ve never had before but do recommend trying if you can do so in Austin. It took us about two and a half hours to very leisurely make our way down the river but it went by quickly since there was phenomenal people watching (lots of bachelor parties, grandmas in camouflage tubes, bags of Franzia being thrown around etc.) and lots of chatting and meeting random other tubers! Afterwards we got dressed up for the night and had dinner at a ridiculously good restaurant called Moonshine (seriously the food was out of control good everywhere we went in Austin!). After eating way too much we had a really fun night out on the town *party time*!
All of the fun activities, adventures and food were wonderful but by far the best part of the entire weekend was having a college friends reunion and getting to spend quality time with my very best girlfriends all while celebrating the beautiful Bride-To-Be!
