I’ve liked flamingos ever since I can remember. What’s not to like? They’re coral/pink/white, interesting looking and often like to stand on one leg! One of my childhood memories of the wonderful San Diego Zoo is that every time my family visited we would start our day off by taking a picture in front of the flamingos! Usually I had a hot pink/coral fanny pack or t-shirt that would match the flamingos…not planned or course, that was just fashion as a kid growing up in the 90’s. So I have an affinity for flamingos, and when I saw this silk dress in Anthropologie about a year ago I knew it would be coming home with me. I love the blue paisley-esque floral print on the bottom surrounding the contrasting coral and red stripes. This is a pretty design detail which makes this dress very unique since it’s not just your average animal silk screen print. Also, I hope you all enjoy the last picture of me mimicking a flamingo…it’s actually a good ab/core workout and will help improve your balance…aha! So that’s how flamingos stay in such great shape 😉
