This past weekend was the 4th wedding I’ve been to in the past 4 months! Seriously so many weddings going on…it’s definitely wedding season which is great because I love weddings! They all have been extremely fun, beautiful, joyous celebrations of love and I feel honored to have been invited to each of them! I know how much time and effort goes into planning a beautiful wedding (thanks to my sister) so I really appreciate all the details on the day of! It’s so interesting to see the personality/style/taste of the couple reflected in their wedding ceremony & reception…it’s what makes each wedding so unique!
My excitement of knowing I had so many weddings to attend this spring/summer grew because to me a wedding is a great reason to treat yourself to a new dress (spoken like a true dress lover)! I had been on the hunt to find a beautiful emerald green dress for the past few months and could not find anything that I loved. Also, I knew the exact rich emerald shade that I was after and every green dress I saw was either too light of a shade or too “grass-y” color-wise but I desired a jewel-toned emerald green and was willing to wait. Patience definitely is a virtue. So for this wedding I decided to bust out one of my favorite dresses from the depths of my closet that I have not worn in a while and was completely content with my choice when on the day before this wedding I just happen to pop into Anthropologie when lo and behold I spot a beautiful emerald green lace dress (by one of my favorite designers) that is feminine and beautiful and completely my style! It’s the exact emerald green I have been dreaming of, the fit is great and it’s super comfortable. Needless to say I opted out of the dress I had already settled on wearing (I’m going to wear that beauty this weekend to another wedding) and got to wear my new beautiful emerald green lace dress!
