Hi chic readers! Hope you all had a fabulous 4th of July weekend! I got to spend some great time with my family and friends this long holiday weekend. We went to a USA men’s national team soccer game, enjoyed brunch in my parent’s beautiful backyard, sat poolside, swam a little, tanned a little, went out to a delicious birthday dinner for my amazing sister (check out her blog and had a really wonderful relaxing weekend! I love celebrating our great country on the 4th of July and am extremely thankful for the freedom I have as an American each and everyday so I wanted a festive patriotic outfit. Of course I needed red, white and blue in my outfit so I added a pop of red on my lips!  I got this anchor print skirt from J.Crew last spring and love pairing it with a cute white top for a fresh summer look. But the real gem of this outfit is my white blazer that I found at Forever 21 a few months ago at a great price!  There is a lot of attention to detail in this blazer like the small cut in detail in the front on each side and the cute gold buttons on the sleeves that give it a little bit of a nautical vibe which I love and was a perfect match for my anchor skirt. If I had a captain’s hat on I would totally look like a captain of a boat, and with this outfit (even without a hat) I want to be on a boat! Which makes me think of this…  throwing it back a few years but it still makes me laugh :)!
